To emphasis the mood of this image, the photographer made it darker than most photos. He also made the image black and white giving it a sadder tone. It is an obvious conclusion that the mood of this image is sad or upset. My reasoning for this is because the look on the girl's face shows that she is upset. The story the photographer is telling is may be of a girl living a rough life. I can conclude this because the lighting is very dark and the girl doesn't look like she is very happy. This photo evoked a mysterious feeling inside of me because I want to know what is wrong with the girl and why she is upset. The angle this image was shot on helps to emphasis this mysterious and sad feeling because it seems as if the viewer is far away from her. Also along with the fact she is the only person in the image. The girl in the photo happens to be almost dead center also.

The feeling I believe this picture conveys is devastation. There are multiple reasons for this. For example, the women looks like she is completely tired and worn out. And although the baby is sleeping, he still has a certain look on his face that tells he has had a long day. The story that the photographer may be trying to tell, is that the woman is use to devastation and things aren't ever handed to you in life. I get this picture because although she does look devastated , it seems as if it's nothing new to her. This image also evoked emotions in me. It makes me almost sad. This is because the looks tired and weak. Also , her and the baby look alone in this world. And I believe this is what the photographer was trying to convey. This image was shot at a straight angle although, the woman and the child are not dead center. The image may be in black and white but the sky and the things in the background are really light

This photo gives off a happy feeling in my prospective. The photographer showed this by making the sky light and shooting were there are a lot of bright colors. This image pulls the viewer to the back of the picture, making the road look like its never ending. Giving the photo a lot of emphasis. I do believe the mood the photographer was going for was more of an uplifting sort of view. This is because he did not use dark color or black and white. Even though some black and white photos can give off a uplifting vibe. This feeling is even evoked in myself. Is does make me feel as if it is more of a happy image rather than sad. The angle the image was shot at does make it like it goes on forever. The element of design I believe is shown here is emphasis.I think the story that is being told here is that it does not have to be the end of the road, and if it seems as so, cross it. The questions that this image makes pop in to my head are where are they going and why? The meaning of the photo could lead you to a lot of conclusions about what they may be doing. The could be just simply crossing the street to go home, or maybe they are leaving home and going else where.
Photo 4.
The woman in this photo looks strong. She loks like she has had rough days in the past , but with all of that, can still smile. That is what I believe the author is trying to show. They are trying to show that we can make it through anything. One thing I noticed is the woman is standing alone, so another thing the author may be trying to show is we can do anything even if we're alone. The woman's head is directly in the middle of the photo making it a straight angle. The photo is very bright, which means a lot of lighting was used. The lighting of this image was evenly distributed on all sides. I think the principle that is shown in this image is contrast. This is because the background is lighter than her head. The image is shot in low depth. The low depth of the image emphasizes the women as the main focus. There is also nothing in the background which also emphasizes the focal point in the image. The emotion that evoked inside of me was happiness. This photo makes this woman look very independent.
Photo 5. *Bonus* Photographer : Duane Michaels
This image is very dark which i believe helped to convey the creepy, mysterious mood to it. I think the photographer is saying that you should always think carefully when it comes to life because you never know when it could end. The way this image was shot is on the side when Michaels lays "dead" there is more light. Where as the side where he is alive is a lot darker. Which might lead to yet another story that may be being told. Michaels may be saying not to live in the darkness until your life is over. I believe using this image, Michaels may have been trying to open people's eyes on how short life may actually be. Michaels used a very slow shutter speed to get from standing, to laying down. On e of the good things that came out of the picture is that you can not see his movement from moving from one place to another. Although, the floor beam does seem to go all the way across the bottom of the image. The significance of the low shutter speed is that without it, Michaels would not be able to photograph such an image.
